The SLO County Cattlewomen Roping and Cattleman’s Playday returns to the SLO Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 22nd.
The san luis obispo county cattlewomen is a local event that is held in San Luis Obispo, California. It is a day of roping and riding for men and women.
Dick Nock’s All-Around Saddle will be dedicated to him.
ROBLES PASO — After being discontinued in 2020 due to COVID limitations, the San Luis Obispo County Cattlewomen’s and Cattleman’s roping competitions are back this year.
The All-Around winner in both roping competitions will receive a saddle in remembrance of Dick Nock.
Nock, who died in December 2020, was a mentor to many cattlemen and cattlewomen in the area and throughout the country. He was active in the California Cattleman’s Association, and the San Luis Obispo Cattlemen’s Association honored him Cattleman of the Year in 1979.
We’re going to get through this together, Atascadero
For many in SLO County, the SLO Cattlemen Playday and Cattlewomen’s Ropings have become another family tradition. Everyone is looking forward to two days of beverages, good company, and friendly competition after a year off!
