You may use the Book 2 Pro 360 as a tablet by folding the display around it, or stand it up in tent mode to view movies while resting. It has a long battery life and good performance, and although it isn’t designed for intensive gaming, it can handle some light games when you need a break from work.

After getting the Book 2 Pro 360 out of the package, the first thing I noticed was how slim and light it is for a laptop with a 15.6-inch display. To be sure it wasn’t the 13-inch model, I double-checked the screen size on the side of the packaging. The Book 2 Pro 360 is just 11.7 millimeters thick when folded. That’s just a smidgeon thicker than Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra handset. The Dell XPS 13 has a thickness of 14.8 millimeters, whereas Apple’s 14-inch MacBook Pro has a thickness of 15.5 millimeters. By contrast, I can’t emphasize how slim the Book 2 Pro 360 is.
The Book 2 Pro 360 is 2.45 pounds in weight, according to Samsung. At this size, I wouldn’t hesitate to carry this laptop about in a bag on a school campus or on business travels.
Despite its little size, the Book 2 Pro 360 is equipped with a number of contemporary ports for connecting peripherals and other devices. A microSD card reader, a USB-C connection, and a headphone audio jack are located on the right side of the deck. A Thunderbolt 4 port and another USB-C port are on the other side (that looks identical to the USB-C port, save for the Thunderbolt icon next to it). When compared to the more frequently used LED display technology, this is the same kind of display Samsung utilizes in its smartphones, resulting in a picture with greater color reproduction, deeper blacks, and longer battery life. The display resolution is standard 1920 x 1080, which is a letdown when compared to several higher-quality laptop displays available at this price.
However, the Super AMOLED display compensates for the absence of greater resolution by looking absolutely stunning. I had the Book 2 Pro 360 connected to an external 4K monitor throughout my testing, and despite the fact that the image on the higher-resolution display should have looked better, I found myself shifting windows back to the laptop’s display because it looked better. The S Pen pen that comes with the device may be used to tap on buttons, sketch, or write down notes. The Book 2 Pro 360’s hinges enable the display to fold all the way around, almost 360 degrees, to transform the laptop into a tablet-like device, which is useful when using the S Pen. The S Pen is easy to use and glides over the screen without causing any friction. It’s not quite as nice as using an Apple Pencil with an iPad, but it’s close.
If you’re a big fan of the S Pen, you’ll be dismayed to learn that the S Pen on the Book 2 Pro 360 doesn’t have Bluetooth, which means you won’t be able to utilize more sophisticated features like Air Actions. Air Commands may still be accessed by pushing the lone button on the S Pen while hovering the tip of the pen above the screen. On the right side of the screen, a menu will pull out, providing you access to utilities like Samsung Notes and Samsung’s screenshot tool.
Above the screen is a 1080p webcam that employs software techniques to keep your face in focus during video chats as you move about. The camera is adequate, but not exceptional, which is to be expected from any laptop webcam. Thankfully, it’s an improvement over the 720p camera on the 360-degree view of the Galaxy Book Pro from last year.

On the bottom housing, there’s a full-size chiclet-style keyboard, as well as a very small number pad on the right side. Because the keys are so small and need very little pressure to register a keypress, the keyboard takes a few days to get accustomed to. It will appeal to touch-typists, but everyone else will have to adapt.

Long battery life in such a tiny laptop was not something I expected, but I was pleasantly pleased. Samsung claims a theoretical battery life of 21 hours in its own research, but real-world testing doesn’t always live up to those claims.
The Samsung 360° Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro lasted 11 hours and 11 minutes while viewing a 4K movie on repeat. Even if it doesn’t match Samsung’s 21-hour battery life, it’s still an incredibly lengthy battery life, with only Apple’s MacBook series surpassing it in our tests.

Intel’s 12th Gen Core i7 CPU powers the Book 2 Pro 360, and it easily handled whatever job I threw at it. The regular activities we’ve all grown to expect from a computer were handled with ease, from editing photographs in GIMP to streaming YouTube and Twitch videos to composing long-winded emails and maintaining tabs on Slack.
CNN Underscored’s standard set of benchmark tests that are run on every review laptop or computer back that up, too. With a multi-core score of 9,178 from Geekbench 5, the 360° Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro outperforms last year’s 360-degree view of the Galaxy Book Pro (5,509), and Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Studio (5,108) by a significant margin. However, it fell short of the 14-inch MacBook Pro’s score of 12,463.

Samsung continues to bring more of its own programs and services to Windows as it expands its computer business with the Galaxy Book series. Samsung has taken a similar route with its Android phone portfolio.
That means you’ll discover a slew of Samsung applications, like Bixby, Smart Switch (for transferring data from a prior Windows PC), Live Message, Live Wallpaper, and more. I counted 34 distinct applications that Samsung has preloaded on my phone. That’s a lot of applications, and I’m guessing the most of them will never be opened or used.
However, certain applications, such as Smart Switch or Samsung Notes and Gallery to keep your information and photographs synchronized with your Galaxy phone, make sense and provide value. Another example of introducing a function to Windows that should already be there is the Quick Share program. This function, similar to Apple’s AirDrop, enables you to transmit files from a Galaxy smartphone to a Galaxy Book over a direct Wi-Fi connection, saving you time via email or a messaging app.
