Black Widow is Marvel’s first female-led superhero movie. Here are five things you might have missed in the film.
Black Widow is a Marvel movie that has been received well. The movie was released on May 1st, 2018 and it did not disappoint. There are 5 things you might have missed in the movie.
The MCU has returned! Marvel’s Black Widow was just released in theaters and on Disney+ earlier today, and it was chock-full of Easter eggs. There are MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD, so be warned!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 was intended to begin with Black Widow. However, owing to the epidemic, it was postponed. Before Natasha grabbed center stage on the big screen, Disney managed to produce three MCU TV series on Disney+.
Who are we to complain, though? Black Widow was yet another fantastic addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was packed with action and witty banter, and it offered us a glimpse into Natasha Romanoff’s life before she joined the Avengers to save the world. What’s the greatest part? It offered us a clue as to what the MCU would be like in the future.
Was it Ursa Major who appeared in Black Widow?
There were also a lot of easter eggs in the movie. One of these is the mention of the name “Ursa.” Alexei Shostakov, a.k.a. The Red Guardian, was recounting a tale about how he was in a hard fight with Captain America while arm wrestling with his other prisoners during the jail scene. Unexpectedly, a large strong guy accepts Alexei’s challenge and breaks his hand in the process. Alexei breaks Ursa’s hand and asks, “Are you calling me a liar?” Ursa Major (Mikhail Ursus) is the name of another Russian superhero in Marvel Comics, who transformed into a real talking bear as a result of his mutant abilities. Along with a Red Guardian, Ursa Major is a regular member of the Soviet Super-Soldiers/Winter Guard.
Are Mutants Making an Appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Dreykov revealed to Black Widow that The Red Room was searching for “genetic potential in infants” during a confrontation. This may indicate that they were just discussing kids with the potential to be assassins, or that they were searching for a specific “X-Factor”?
The Crimson Dynamo is a band from the United States.
Yelena refers to Alexei as “the Crimson Dynamo” in one moment. Sure, it’s adorable, but in Marvel Comics, there was a Crimson Dynamo! Crimson Dynamo is mainly an Iron Man villain, although the Crimson Dynamo suit has been donned by a variety of Russian operatives. It…didn’t work out for any of them.
Anton Vanko, better known as the elderly guy who died at the start of Iron Man 2, was the first Crimson Dynamo. Despite the fact that his son was called Whiplash, Ivan Vanko was more of a hybrid of Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo. Anton used the pseudonym “Ivan” in the comics.
“I appreciate your cooperation.”
The Black Widow utters her iconic phrase during the showdown between Natasha and Dreykov in the same scene, which is obviously a reference to the original Avengers film. When she was attempting to question Loki, she spoke the same same things to him.
After-Credits Scene
We got a glimpse of Yelena visiting the late Black Widow’s tomb in the last minutes of the film. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine makes an appearance while paying her respects. Hawkeye, it seems, is now to blame for Natasha’s death. This may be the basis of Disney+’s forthcoming Hawkeye program. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the first film to feature the character. If we had to guess, we’d say she’s assembling a squad of “Dark Avengers” or “Thunderbolts” for the MCU. Yelena will also feature in the forthcoming Hawkeye series, which has been announced.
Black Widow was a fantastic journey and a fantastic addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is now available for streaming on Disney+ and at select theaters throughout the country. Do you want to see more Marvel content? Check check this page for easter eggs for Loki episode 5 as well.
