The NFL is a league of parity, which means that a team can go from being a playoff contender to a bottom-dweller in the span of one season. This week, we’ll take a look at four bold predictions for Preseason Week 3 vs. Patriots

The when does nfl preseason start is a question that comes up often. This week, the 4 bold predictions for Preseason Week 3 vs. Patriots will be presented.

As we go into Week 3 of the preseason, the New England Patriots take on the New York Jets. After retooling the roster in the summer, the New York Giants are looking to improve. With their major acquisitions, they attempted to improve both the offense and defense.

Daniel Jones will have an excellent target after the Giants signed Pro Bowl receiver Kenny Golladay to a four-year, $72 million contract. They also acquired Adoree’ Jackosn, a promising young cornerback who was inked to a three-year, $39 million contract. These modifications are critical since they significantly enhance two critical locations. In the draft, the Giants added Kadarius Toney, a wide receiver.

With his new targets, Jones has a chance to excel this season. With that in mind, here are four bold predictions for the Giants’ preseason matchup with the Patriots.

Predictions for the Giants:

4. Dante Pettis scores on a touchdown reception

This season, Dante Pettis might be a good backup receiver for the Giants. Pettis didn’t play much in the preseason, but he had a good training camp. Pettis may not be the guy the Giants anticipated him to be coming out of college, but he might be a valuable depth piece.

Pettis could score a touchdown this week, with the starters set to participate.

3. Xavier McKinney catches a pass.

Xavier McKinney was one of the top safeties in the 2020 draft. The Giants selected him in the second round of the draft, and he has the potential to become an exceptional player. McKinney has the potential to play a key role in the Giants’ defense.

He possesses good pace and a high football IQ, which will help him advance fast. McKinney is expected to have a strong game against the Patriots, including an interception.

2. Daniel Jones is a capable player.

Daniel Jones is anticipated to face the Patriots, and he is projected to have a better season than last year. Jones hasn’t wowed in his career so far, but with a stronger supporting cast, he could improve.

Jones passed for 2,943 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just 10 interceptions last season. His completion rate was 62.5 percent last season, and he’ll have to improve on that this season. Jones had a strong run game, gaining 423 yards and a score. He did, however, have 11 fumbles, and he will need to cut down on the turnovers in the future.

Jones is expected to do well in this preseason game as he continues to develop.

1. Darius Slayton is a standout performer.

Darius Slayton is a receiver who may be a number two or three option. He hasn’t been an exceptional target, but he has been consistent throughout his career.

Slayton has 50 catches for 751 yards and three touchdowns last season. He has a chance to improve this season, particularly with defenders focusing on the new targets. Golladay and Toney are ready to take the defense’s focus away from Slayton, which may lead to greater output.

As the preseason comes to a close, expect Slayton to put up a good showing against the Patriots.

Because Mac Jones is expected to participate, this is sure to be a fantastic preseason game. It’s fun to watch rookie quarterbacks play in the preseason because it gives you an idea of how they’ll perform in the regular season. Due to their division, the Giants have a chance to make the playoffs this season. The NFC East isn’t a very strong division, so any club may make a postseason run.

This season, they’ll be fighting for a postseason berth, particularly if Jones makes a leap.
